Growing up a few blocks away, Dad often opted for hoagies and sometimes treated me to cream soda pop. Interestingly enough, I didn't like pepper when I was young; but, the sweet onions worked well w/ the black pepper on the subs, and I never turned down the subs. They tasted good to me.

Such a hidden gem. The sandwiches are filled with meats and they have quick service. Love the old time feel. Happy they added credit card services.

My father in-law lives this place so we stopped by on our way into town to pick up lunch. Called ahead to place our order. My first experience having a hoagie here. Wasn't sure what to expect since you just order by mild, medium or hot (spicy). I got the mild and it was tasty! The pickled onions was new for me but added void flavor. Definitely a must try if in Tyrone.

I have been going there for 60 years and the food is always good! Best hoagies anywhere. Live in Florida now but when we get to PA, we go to Tyrone for our hoagie even if we have to drive 70 miles out of our way.
